Questions for Sharebear Pet Care, LLC

How long do you actually stay with my pet? 

This depends on you and your pets needs! If you think you have an easy pet and only need 30 minute drop in to give them some food, that works! If you have a hyper pet and want to do an hour drop-in so I have more time to play with them, that's great too. Overnight is approximately 7pm-7am and DOES NOT include drop-in daytime service, this must be added. Time starts when i leave my car, and ends when I get back in my car.

How do I pay you?

I send invoices through my pet software, Precise Petcare. An e-mail will be sent to the responsible party. You can choose to keep your card on file or not. Tips are always appreciated! 

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are 50% refundable for cancellations made at least one week in advance of service dates. (MEaning you get 25% of your total back. Be sure of your dates!

Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations less than one week before service date.    

Refunds can only go back on your card if you chose to keep your card on file with SPC’s software. Other options for refund: CashApp, Venmo, Zelle.

Refunds will be issued within 3 business days.

Dates are non-transferable. 

Do you have any experience with exotic animals?

Yes! I have personally had reptiles, small animals, and of course cats and dogs! I have never taken care of birds but I am confident I could if I was shown. I worked with some exotic animals in Vet Tech school, as well as in the vet hospital I used to work at.

What will you do with my pet if you stay overnight?

LOTS of playtime and cuddle time! We will relax together, play, or whatever you and your pet want. I make sure they are loved, fed, watered, and taken out potty throughout my time there. Having someone there with the lights on also deters potential thieves!

Why do you have a "No job Sharing" clause?

As a dedicated pet sitter, my primary focus is to provide consistent and undivided attention to the pets under my care. This allows me to ensure their safety, comfort, and overall well-being throughout the duration of my service. Introducing job sharing can sometimes lead to confusion, inconsistent care routines, and potential disruptions that could compromise the quality of care that I strive to provide.

Can I do every other day visits for my cat? They have an automatic cat feeder and litter box!

SPC does not allow every other day visits for any pets. Too much can happen in that time. Your pet can can get stuck somewhere or have a medical emergency, your house could flood, or any of the many other things that can happen while no one is attending to the home/pets.

Why do you need a key if i have an automatic door lock?

In case of power failure, or any other emergency that could render automatic locks useless. SPC likes to be prepared for emergencies, and thats why we are Professionals!

You don't offer dog walking?

I do not, but i offer plenty of backyard playtime and mental stimulation! I have puzzles, lick mats, and other tools to mentally stimulate your pet- which can be MORE tiring to them than walks!

Why do you offer such a small refund back on my servies booked? I had to cancel last minute!

As a dedicated pet sitter, I allocate specific time slots exclusively for your pet's care. When I receive a booking, I commit to being there for your furry friend and often have to decline other potential clients. Losing both your reservation and potential business due to last-minute cancellations poses challenges for my small business. To maintain a sustainable operation, I kindly ask clients to be certain of their dates before making a booking!
